Dear Friends,
Friends, tonight our flights leave for Nepal. I'm so grateful to you for your support, financially and in prayer! I have one huge suitcase that is entirely gifts for the school: requested books for their library, a projector, printer cartridges, etc. Here's how you can be praying for me and us in the next couple weeks: Home: Rich and I haven't been apart this long in a long time! He's holding down the fort in terms of care for our two housemates who have disabilities, and one is having a number of challenges. We also are aware that his father's health is declining fairly quickly, so we pray for God's best timing on all of that. So, do pray for him. Portability: I really have never felt this unsure about how well my lecture content and even teaching methods will transfer. I've taught aspects of sermon design in a few countries, but this is a new challenge. Update from Rich: Becca and Lisa have landed in Nepal, and by 6PM tonight (6AM tomorrow morning) Lisa will be teaching her first class, while Becca attends the International Church in Kathmandu. Lisa has said via skype that she is a little cold in Kathmandu, but otherwise comfortable and their trip has begun as well as hoped, and that she slept well the first night in Kathmandu. Please do pray that this class starts out well, and that she has energy for the day with all the jet lag she could be experiencing. While the time will seem long for me, in 15 days she'll be home with more stories to tell and young preachers she's invested in to follow. THanks for your prayers. Lisa (and Rich)
